I never knew low-glycemic-index foods can help with acne. It does make sense though. And the weight loss is a great bonus!

Healthy diets are undoubtedly an excellent treatment to fight off acne and its evil twin acne scars. However, there underestimated, so you don’t hear much from them. Main reason is because they don’t provide instant results. Healthy diets must be taken for months at a time if you actually want your skin to feel the effect. Which is why individuals suffering from not just acne but all types of skin conditions rather apply topical lotions or undergo surgical procedures.
Little piece of advice - healthy diets, natural creams or or anything of natural substance are the best, safest ways to treat your skin problems.

Hi,
Thats really a nice post.Diet really affects the way you look and since acne is an ”inside-out” condition, its so important to treat it from the inside too,and one way to do that is to eat a healthy well balanced diet.

I eliminated most grains from my diet about a year ago and I feel WAY better (no more heartburn or slow colon). Haven’t noticed a difference in my skin but 10 pounds FELL off. What really helped keep pimples away though (I don’t have acne but I did used to get pimples) was using a glycolic acid lotion daily–I use Neoteric’s Alpha Hydrox. Use it on my back too and NO MORE backne! I hardly ever get pimples anymore.

Products that contain seabuckthorn oil as their active ingredients are also very good for acne. Because seabuckthorn oil kills the the Human Demodex parasites that are responsible for acne.

A good diet will help but dont overlook the importance of keeping your skin clean and hydrated. Dont use products containing Parabens or Benzyl Peroxide as they can be very damaging to your skin.

Yes, foods like carrot, cabbage, spinach, strawberry, pomegranates, grapes, and green tea can help you to control acne breakouts. And try to avoid white breads, milk, red meats and soft drinks as much as you can. Good luck
